About Us
New Hampshire Custom Furniture & Woodwork
New Hampshire Accents Fine Crafts is a custom woodworking shop that builds one of kind furniture and cabinetry, one piece at a time. Each piece is custom designed to your taste, function and budget.
NHA was founded in 1997 by Alfred Spitzer, Jr. in an effort to provide customers with true custom furniture and woodworking that would rival the off the shelf market. NHA now enters its 23rd year in business providing customers and contractors with furniture and woodworking that will last for generations to come and be cherished for a lifetime.
NHA provides enhancements such as custom furniture, entertainment units, fireplace surrounds, wall units, built-ins, coffered ceilings, wainscoting, custom door/window casing trim, as well as crown moulding installations, kitchen cabinet trim embellishments, and furniture re-finishing and repair. Each project is given our full attention during design, construction, finishing, and installation. We provide styles for every customer’s need, whether it is “Shaker”, “Queen Anne”, “Mission Style” or Modern all are possible. New furniture or built-ins may be built based on a totally new design or to match an existing style of your choosing. All of our designs are intended to accommodate the needs of today’s high-tech homes.
Our Process
Design
All the furniture pieces, wall units, built-ins and moldings that NHA builds and installs require some type or form of design work.
Construction
After a design and schedule is approved, NHA will purchase the necessary lumber. All kiln-dried lumber and materials are hand
Finishing
We use a variety of finishing products from water or oil based stains to shellac, polyurethane, and lacquer.

NH Accents repaired a broken folding table leaf hinge. The job was not as simple as it appeared since the olive wood table was made in Spain ~30 years ago and replacement parts are no longer available. The European wood was not standard US dimension so a special jig had to be created to install the modern hidden hinges. In addition, some veneer was damaged when the hinge broke. It also was refinished.
